Spring is here (almost)

spring planting1_2016April in Washington, DC typically is beautiful – cherry blossom season. This year, the cherry blossoms came early, and ever since we’ve had an unusual mix of beautiful spring days, rain and below normal temperatures.

While we can’t predict the weather, we can look forward to summer flowers at Saint Luke Institute. Seedlings are lining the window sills along one long hall in preparation for spring planting, thanks to clients who enjoy gardening. The small seedlings, growing in the sun, soon will move outside to beautify our Marian courtyard and grounds for everyone to enjoy through the summer.
