Saint Luke Institute remains vigilant as the COVID-19 pandemic continues to spread. As a mental health treatment facility for Catholic priests and religious with a residential component and medical clinic, we are keeping abreast of the latest information and guidelines provided by state and federal agencies. We are prepared to modify our response as the situation progresses. Be assured that our evolving guidelines reflect our commitment to the safety and health of our staff and clients.
Regular treatment of our residential clients continues. For our outpatients, treatment is being offered through several teletherapy options to ensure continuity of care. For now, we are limiting the number of visitors and staff who access our facilities.
Our response is marked by caution and communication.
We recognize the capacity for any illness to spread within a communal setting and that COVID-19 is particularly dangerous for the elderly and those with underlying health conditions. As such we have intensified our existing disease prevention strategies.
As new information from federal and state agencies becomes available, we review and update our medical protocols in terms of prevention and in the event clients or staff develop symptoms or fever.
Direct and regular communication with our staff and clients underscores the essential role that each person has in maintaining a healthy environment. Prevention and medical response in the case of illness have been shared with all clients and staff.
The coronavirus has created a significant amount of uncertainty in our daily lives and for the foreseeable future. Be assured, we are here for you, our clients, and staff.
Together, as a caring Christian community we will walk this uncertain path. Above all, let us remember that as a people of hope we walk with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
We are here to assist you in these challenging times.
