The free webinar – originally presented live on Aug. 31 – is led by Monsignor Steve Rossetti, Ph.D., D.Min., president emeritus of Saint Luke Institute, who also has given in-person presentations on this topic.
Noting that faith groups are first responders who “bring our faith and our compassion and our care and our community to help people,” he offered practical tips to prepare and respond personally and as a faith community to tragedy.
As he told reporter Adelle Banks, “I think we need to have a plan,” he said, “not only sort of a physical plan of who does what but also kind of an emotional plan — how we’re going to deal with this emotionally.”
