F. Javier Orozco, PhD

F. Javier Orozco, OFS, PhD, is the Executive Director of Human Dignity and Intercultural Affairs for the Archdiocese of St. Louis, where he also serves as the Ecumenical and Interreligious Officer. He is a Secular Franciscan and theologian with over twenty years of professional experience in religious, educational, and community affairs. Javier is the current chair of the Cabinet of the Interfaith Partnership of Greater St. Louis and the president of the Catholic Association of Diocesan Ecumenical and Interreligious Officers (CADEIO).
In his own words, “Over the years, I’ve had the joy of serving and working closely with clergy and lay ecclesial leaders. This experience has taught me, among other things, the importance of maintaining a healthy and balance life. I see my service with SLI as a deepening of my own commitment to the ministry of healing, and our shared mission in the Church and society.” Javier lives in St. Louis, Missouri, with his wife, Theresa.
