Christmas Appeal
Your end-of-year gifts make our mission possible.
We especially welcome monthly or quarterly recurring donors to support our healing and educational work with priests, deacons, consecrated religious, laity and other Church leaders.
The Coming of Joy & Healing
Like the shepherds who heard the good news of Christ’s coming with joy, we, too, celebrate the coming of that joy into our hearts and into our world during this holy season! The gifts of joy and healing which Christ brings are given to all, freely. In turn, we give of ourselves generously, as we have received.
In your own Christmas giving this season, please remember Saint Luke Institute and our mission of providing integrated mental health and spiritual care to those who serve in the name of the Church – priests, deacons, religious women and men, laity and other ministers and leaders. In a special way, I invite you to consider being a sustaining supporter of our work by becoming an ongoing monthly or quarterly donor, which can especially help us as we sustain and grow our mission. You may give online at SLI.org/ChristmasGift, or by mail using this form.
Church ministers are especially busy during the holidays – full schedules and many needs. People come seeking pastoral leadership, care for the sick, and help for those in need – including care for those struggling with mental health needs, which often spike during the holidays.
Ministers themselves are not immune from these mental health challenges. Like those whom they serve, they may struggle with loneliness, depression, burnout, the effects of social polarization, and more.
In a time when mental illness is still stigmatized and misunderstood, the mission of Saint Luke Institute to provide integrated mental and spiritual health support to ministers, and resourcing for healthy ministry, is absolutely essential. So, too, is your support for our mission. Thank you for your past generosity, and for considering us again during the busy holiday season.
May you know the abundant “good news of great joy” which the Lord brings to us during this Christmas season, and in the new year to come! Know that you are in my prayers as well.
Sincerely,
Rev. Quinn Conners, O.Carm, Ph.D.
Interim President & CEO
“Do not be afraid, for see, I am bringing you good news of great joy for all the people: to you is born this day in the city of David a Savior, who is the Messiah, the Lord.” — Luke 2:10
