LukeNotes: Developing a Healthy Relationship with Yourself
Posted on: January 25, 2025
The January 2025 edition of LukeNotes begins a year-long focus on mental health and relationships. Taryn Walker, Psy.D., an adjunct member of the Saint Luke Institute clinical team, discusses the importance of self-acceptance in creating psychological space to support long-term change. She also presents a case study of Sr. Nancy* who recognized through the therapeutic process how her devaluation of self and low attention to self-care were defenses to avoid judgment from others.
