Father Ken Phillips, TOR, MS, Coordinator of Continuing Care, has provided a ministry presence to the clients of SLI for over forty years. He has dedicated his life to “healing the healers.” Father Ken manifests the mission of SLI to heal the Church by bringing compassion to the clergy and men and women religious being served by SLI. He has journeyed with these clients and served as a companion as they return to ministry and community life. Father Ken has modeled the Gospel through being an instrument of gentleness through his presence.
The SLI staff have benefitted from his wisdom, keen clinical insight, and pastoral presence daily. He has changed the lives of thousands of clergy and religious through his leadership of the Continuing Care Program at SLI. We are grateful to Father Ken for his dedication to SLI clients and staff. We benefit each day from the way he models empathy to the men and women we serve.
Below are photos of Father Ken then (when he started his work with SLI) and now, as well as the cake shared at the staff celebration marking his forty years of service.
