Continuing Care Focus at Recent Workshop

Posted on: May 25, 2025

At the conclusion of a person’s time of care in the Saint Luke Institute Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP), the mental and spiritual support they receive from SLI doesn’t end; it endures through the SLI Continuing Care Program, which includes both in-person and virtual opportunities for continued growth and enrichment to assist the person in their return to ministry. In May, the two leaders of the Continuing Care Program for SLI, Stephen Carroll, Ph.D., LCPC, and Rev. Kenneth D. Phillips, TOR, M.S., gathered with current Continuing Care participants at a DC-area retreat center. The gathering featured refresher presentations on variety of wellness, spirituality, and recovery topics and included discussion groups to share their experiences of managing their self-care needs with ministry and community responsibilities. Daily Mass and other forms of prayer marked the four-day event.
