A Thanksgiving Message from our President & CEO

Posted on: November 26, 2025

To our dear friends of Saint Luke Institute,

The Mighty One has done great things for us, and holy is His name.” — Luke 1:49

As we pause in Thanksgiving as families and as a nation this week, I want to express my heartfelt gratitude for the extraordinary support you have shown to me and to Saint Luke Institute (SLI) over the past year.

This has been a deeply meaningful year for us. Although I have been here only four months, I have already had the privilege of meeting many of you, and of learning from bishops, provinicials, priests, religious women and men, our Board of Directors, and dedicated staff. Their generosity – and that of so many others – in sharing wisdom and insight has been invaluable as SLI shapes a renewed vision for 2026 and beyond.

As I look ahead with you, I am mindful that every accomplishment at SLI is made possible by people like you—whose commitment, partnership, and shared dedication propel our mission forward.

We are especially grateful to the more than 225 guests who joined us at the 2025 Annual Benefit in October, where we honored Msgr. William English and Fr. Ken Phillips, TOR, MS, for their many years of spiritual leadership and service to SLI’s mission.

Thank you once again for your friendship, your trust, and your generosity. We are truly grateful.

I pray that you and your loved ones enjoy a blessed and joyful Thanksgiving!

Yours in Christ,

Rev. Patrick McDevitt, CM, PhD
President & CEO
