Caritas Counseling Center staff can help individuals move towards recovery and healing from challenges such as anxiety, stress and burnout, body image and eating issues, addictions, depression and other mood disorders, grief and loss, anger management, history of trauma, and relationship, boundary, and sexual behavior problems. Our services include:

• Candidate assessments for men and women discerning a call to priesthood, religious life, and the permanent diaconate.
• Individual and group therapy to address both short-term needs and more complex issues
• One-on-one spiritual direction to support ongoing spiritual development
• Education, both online and in-person, to support healthy, effective ministry

Healthy Life Groups

Our Healthy Life groups focus on a single topic, meet for just 4-7 sessions, and include skill-building and facilitated discussion in a confidential setting. Topics may include stress management, building healthy relationships, and mindfulness skills.

Appointments

Day and evening appointments are available. To provide the best care possible, we cannot accept walk-ins.

Privacy

We value your privacy. Our therapists follow the strictest confidentiality principles set forth by Maryland law. We will discuss confidentiality with you on your first visit.

When a diocese or religious congregation entrusts a priest or religious to our care, we are able to provide regular updates about progress with the individual’s informed consent.

Cost

We are committed to providing excellent care at a reasonable cost, and will assist our clients with receiving out-of-network coverage.
