Dr. Richard Milone is a psychiatrist, certified by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology. He was invited to join the Board of the Saint Luke Institute in 2013 following completion of his service as the Medical Director of St. Vincent’s Hospital, a Psychiatric Hospital in Harrison, New York, where he had served in various roles since 1969. Dr. Milone has treated many priests and religious sisters and brothers in his own practice.
Prior to his time at St. Vincent’s Hospital, Dr. Milone served as the Chief of Psychiatry and Neurology at the United States Military Hospital at West Point, New York. He has also served as a Member of the Board for Professional Medical Conduct for the State of New York, appointed by the Governor of the State of New York. Dr. Milone and his wife Mary Katherine Milone are both members of the American Association of the Order of Malta and have been honored with the Grand Cross of the Order, primarily for their over 30 pilgrimages bringing the sick to the Grotto at Lourdes with the Order of Malta.
