Dcn. Scott T. Hedges, M.D., DFAPA, OCDS, KHS

Scott T. Hedges, M.D., is the Senior Vice President for Medical Services with Seven Counties Services, Inc., the regional mental health center for Louisville, Kentucky and surrounding counties and a consulting psychiatrist for Saint Luke Center. Dr. Hedges is also a member of the Clinical Faculty with the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences at his alma mater, the University of Louisville, School of Medicine. Dr. Hedges’ community service includes his membership and active participation in the St. Joseph’s Guild, the local guild of the Catholic Medical Association, the Community Health Committee of the Greater Louisville Medical Society and the Committee on Community and Rural Health with the Kentucky Medical Association. He is a consultant for Opus Bono Sacerdotii and has offered assistance with the Tribunal of the Archdiocese of Louisville. He is a 2010 Fellow for the National Council of Community Behavior Health Physician Leadership Program, a 2008 Fellow with the Health Enterprise Network and appointed by the Governor to serve on the Kentucky Department of Medicaid Services Pharmacy and Therapeutics committee. Early in his career, Dr. Hedges did mission work in Nigeria. He is married and the father of two young men. Dr. Hedges is a Secular Carmelite and a member of the Secular Order Discalced Carmelites Community of the Holy Spirit and is currently an aspirant for the permanent diaconate in the Archdiocese of Louisville.
