Alex Rudolph
Finance and Human Resources Director

Rev. Quinn Conners, O.Carm., Ph.D.
Fr. Quinn R. Conners, O.Carm., Ph.D., was appointed Interim President & CEO of Saint Luke Institute in June 2024. He is a priest of the Carmelite Province of the Most Pure Heart of Mary (PCM) and a licensed clinical psychologist. A graduate of Mount Carmel College, he earned theology degrees from Duke University and The Catholic University of America, a master’s degree from the University of Illinois, and a doctorate in clinical psychology from The Graduate School of Psychology at Fuller Theological Seminary. Fr. Conners has been a member of the Saint Luke Institute team for over 27 years including service as Vice-President and Chief Operating Officer, as well as Associate Director of Clinical Services. He has also served his Province as community Prior, director of formation, director of novices, and as Provincial.
Previously a consultant to the US Conference of Catholic Bishops’ Committee on Priestly Formation and the Ad Hoc Committee on Sexual Abuse, he is a member of the misconduct review boards of several Catholic entities. He is also an adjunct clinical associate professor in the School of Theology & Religious Studies at The Catholic University of America. Fr. Conners has been a consultant for clinical services at Saint Luke Institute and gives workshops nationally and internationally in the areas of psychology and spirituality, sexuality, vocational discernment, and ongoing formation in the first five years of ordained ministry.
Marianne Durgavich, RN
Marianne Durgavich, RN, came to Saint Luke Institute with nursing management experience in several psychiatric settings, most recently at Sibley Memorial Hospital in Washington, D.C. Marianne was the client care coordinator and safety and risk manager prior to her present position. She is accredited as a psychiatric-mental health nurse and nurse executive by the American Nurses’ Credentialing Center.
Stephen Carroll, Ph.D., LCPC
Stephen Carroll, a licensed mental health counselor, has been a member of the clinical services department at Saint Luke Institute since 2012 and coordinator of the Halfway House program since 2017. He received his doctoral degree in counseling from Loyola University Maryland and a master’s degree in pastoral ministry from Boston College. He served as a visiting professor at Loyola University in the school counseling department and conducted research for Georgetown University’s Woodstock Theological Center. His research on the impact of religion and spirituality on employment attitudes and behaviors was published in the Journal of Mental Health, Religion, and Culture. He has researched the role of religion and spirituality on employment attitudes and behaviors and recently developed a chapter on this topic for the American Psychological Association’s Handbook of the Psychology of Religion and Spirituality.
Emily Cash, Psy.D.
Emily Cash, Psy.D., director of Saint Luke Center, is a licensed psychologist in Kentucky and an adjunct member of the clinical services department at Saint Luke Institute. She obtained her doctoral degree in clinical psychology from Spalding University in Louisville, and completed her doctoral training in a community mental health setting in New York City. From 2006-2010, she was on staff in the residential treatment program at Saint Luke Institute before returning to Kentucky to open Saint Luke Center. Her clinical services include individual and group therapy, psychological evaluation and assessment and teaching psycho-educational groups and workshops geared towards mental health and well-being. Dr. Cash also serves as the director of the Candidate Assessment Program for the Institute.
Marc DelMonico, Ph.D.
As Director of Education and Communication at Saint Luke Institute, Marc brings a diverse background as a national Catholic ministry leader and strategist, theologian, and digital communications consultant. He has supported lay ministry training and development at the U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops, worked with the Conference of Major Superiors of Men (CMSM) and has many years of experience in a wide variety of ministerial and leadership endeavors, from parishes, to local and national faith-based organizations. Through his many years as a team member and project manager with Perisphere Media, he possesses skills in digital media strategy and communication, having worked with an array of nonprofit and small business clients.
He holds a Ph.D. in Historic and Systematic Theology from the School of Theology and Religious Studies at The Catholic University of America. He earned an M.Div. as a lay person from the Washington Theological Union, and an M.A. in Systematic Theology. He holds a B.A. in Theology and Philosophy with a minor in Justice, Peace and Conflict Studies from Saint Bonaventure University. Marc has written, studied and lectured in the areas of ecclesiology, theology of ministry, ecumenism, theology of liturgy, as well as Catholic social teaching. He has been an adjunct professor of undergraduate theology at Loyola University Maryland in Baltimore and Marymount University in Arlington, Va.
Emily Ray, Ph.D.
Emily Ray, Ph.D., is a licensed psychologist in Maryland and Virginia. She earned her doctorate in counseling psychology from the University of Texas at Austin and completed her pre-doctoral internship at Springfield Hospital Center in Sykesville, Maryland. Dr. Ray worked as an outpatient therapist in the Caritas Counseling Center, as well as a therapist in the residential program at Saint Luke Institute, prior to being appointed director of clinical services. She has taught graduate courses in psychological assessment and has a particular interest in personality assessment. Dr. Ray also holds a master’s degree in dance-movement therapy from the University of California at Los Angeles.

Michelle Short has held the position of Admissions and Client Services Coordinator for Saint Luke Institute for over 30 years. She brings expert knowledge in the fields of human resources, quality improvement and administration. In her roles, she has worked externally with bishops, superiors and vicars and internally with management and executive leadership.
