Christmas Appeal Highlights the Joyful Work of Healing
November 26, 2024 – Saint Luke Institute (SLI) has launched its end-of-year Christmas Appeal, encouraging donors to support its mission of providing integrated mental health and spiritual care and healing to those who serve in the name of the Church – priests, deacons, religious women and men, laity and other ministers and leaders.
It is well known that mental stresses and challenges present themselves to many of us over the winter holidays, for a variety of reasons. Those who are in ministry are not immune from these influences. When those who struggle with loneliness, depression, burnout, the effects of social polarization, and more find themselves in need, they can turn to SLI to receive the support they need through our clincal services and ongoing educational services.
Donations in support of the SLI Christmas Appeal are tax deductible to the extent permitted by law. Monthly or quarterly ongoing donations are especially helpful in sustaining and growing SLI’s mission and, as always, a one-time gift is also very valuable. There are many opportunites to give during the season, including:
- An offering with gratitude during the days of Thanksgiving weekend
- Support on #GivingTuesday (December 3), one of the most active days for nonprofit contributions
- Becoming a sustaining monthly or quarterly donor during the season of Advent
- Contributing a special gift in honor or in memory of a loved one on or before Christmas Day
- Establishing your legacy by including Saint Luke Institute in your estate plan or other planned giving. Consult with us for additional details.
- Concluding your year of giving with an offering by the end of the calendar year, December 31.
